FMS Delhi MBA Application Form 2027-29: Dates, Eligibility, Fee, Selection Process and How to Apply

The FMS Delhi MBA application form for the 2027-29 batch is open. It opened on 26 October 2026 and closes on 25 November 2026, four days before CAT. Here is everything you need before you fill it: the dates, eligibility, fee, documents, the selection weightage, and the mistakes that cost candidates a call.

The Short Answer

FMS Delhi's MBA (Full-Time) form opened on 26 October 2026 and closes on 25 November 2026. The application fee is ₹1,000, or ₹350 for SC, ST and PwD candidates. You need a CAT 2026 roll number, so you apply before you have a score. Interviews are in the second or third week of April 2027, and results follow in the third or fourth week of April. Selection is led by your CAT score, which carries about half the weight, followed by Class 10 and Class 12 marks, your statement of purpose, an extempore and a personal interview.

FMS Delhi MBA Eligibility

  • A bachelor's degree after 12 years of schooling, from a recognised university
  • Minimum marks: 50% for the unreserved category, and 45% for OBC non-creamy layer, EWS and PwD candidates, with passing marks for SC and ST, as per university rules
  • Final-year students can apply if they submit the required documents on time
  • A CAT 2026 attempt, since FMS uses only CAT
  • Work experience is not required for the full-time MBA

If you hold a CGPA, keep the university's conversion certificate ready. Check the programme's information bulletin for the exact wording.

Our guide to CAT 2026 admit card covers the documents you will need on exam day.

How to Apply: Step by Step

  1. Register. Enter your basic details and verify your email and mobile number.
  2. Choose the programme. Select the MBA programme you want, and enter your CAT 2026 roll number if it is needed.
  3. Fill in your personal details. Add your category, parents' occupations and contact details.
  4. Add your education and experience. Enter your qualifications and any work experience.
  5. Upload your documents. Add your photograph, signature, and the NOC if you are applying to an executive programme.
  6. Verify and declare. Review everything and accept the declaration.
  7. Pay the fee. The form is submitted only after payment.

Do not wait for the last week. The payment gateway and document upload can fail near the deadline.

How FMS Selects Candidates

FMS shortlists on CAT and academics, then selects on the interview stage. Based on the pattern in recent cycles, the final selection weightage is roughly as follows. FMS may change it, so check the information bulletin.

Component Weightage
CAT score About 50%
Class 10 marks About 10%
Class 12 marks About 10%
Statement of purpose (SOP) About 10%
Personal interview About 15%
Extempore About 5%

How CAT is counted. The CAT score is weighted by section, with VARC counting for about 40%, and DILR and QA about 30% each. This is why a strong VARC helps at FMS.

How academics are scored. Class 10 and Class 12 marks between 60 and 75% earn partial credit, and marks above 75% earn full credit. A candidate with 90%+ in Class 10 and above 75% in Class 12 gets the full weight on both.

Diversity. Women receive 5 additional marks in the weighted score, as per recent cycles. Our post on female vs male engineer CAT percentiles shows how such points change the shortlist.

Seats and Reservation

In the last cycle, FMS had about 250 regular seats, spread across categories as follows.

Category Seats (approx.)
General 101
OBC 69
EWS 25
SC 37
ST 19

There are further seats for PwD and supernumerary categories. The 2027-29 seat matrix is in the information bulletin. FMS is a central university with reservation, so category candidates have lower call ranges. Our guide to IIM calls for OBC, EWS and SC candidates shows how to read category cutoffs.

What Percentile Do You Need?

FMS does not publish a safe percentile. A general-category male candidate usually needs about 99.5 or above for a call, and reserved-category and women candidates need less. Treat these as estimates. Our guide to CAT percentile vs colleges for engineers and non-engineers shows where FMS sits in the wider range.

Why Apply to FMS?

  • Very low fee. FMS costs a fraction of most top MBA programmes.
  • Strong recruiter list. The 2026-28 batch was placed 100% for summer, with a median stipend of ₹3.76 lakh for the internship. See our post on FMS Delhi summer placements 2026-28.
  • Delhi location. Easy access to corporate India.

See our comparison of FMS vs MDI vs SPJIMR, and our guide on whether to fill all the MBA forms, if you are choosing between them.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Waiting for CAT. The form closes four days before CAT, and you cannot apply later.
  • Skipping the SOP. It carries about 10% of the final weight.
  • Leaving the NOC late. Executive candidates are rejected without the original at the interview.
  • Submitting wrong marks. The marks you enter must match your marksheets.
  • Missing the payment step. An unpaid form is not submitted.

Our calendar of MBA forms closing in November 2026 shows what else closes in the same weeks.

What We Do Not Know Yet

  • The final weightage and seat matrix for 2027-29 are in the information bulletin, and FMS can change them.
  • FMS does not publish a safe CAT percentile, so call ranges are estimates.
  • The exact interview dates in April 2027 will be announced later.
