XAT Daily Target: One Fixed Practice Session, Every Single Day
Most XAT prep fails for the same reason CAT prep does — "study today" is too vague a task to actually start. A Daily Target fixes that. Every day, GRADSCALE's Daily Drills feature hands you one specific, bounded VALR, Decision Making or QA set, no decision required, just execution.
Decision Making — business and ethical case scenarios, unique to XAT, 5 questions
QA
Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation — 5 questions
What's Different
Why Decision Making Needs Its Own Daily Habit
Decision Making doesn't exist on CAT, IPMAT, SNAP or NMAT. It presents short business or ethical scenarios and asks what the most reasonable action is — there's no formula, no fixed syllabus, just judgment built through exposure to real cases. That makes it the one section where cramming genuinely doesn't work, and daily, repeated practice genuinely does.
XAT also penalizes leaving too many questions blank — skip more than 8 across the paper and each additional unattempted question costs you marks, unlike CAT where an unattempted question simply scores zero. That changes the calculus on when to guess versus skip, and it's worth building that instinct in daily practice, not discovering it on exam day.
Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an XAT Daily Target? +
An XAT Daily Target is a fixed, structured practice set for Verbal & Logical Ability, Decision Making and Quantitative Ability that changes every day, so you never have to decide what to study.
What is Decision Making in XAT, and why does it need separate daily practice? +
Decision Making is unique to XAT — no other major MBA entrance exam has it. It presents short business or ethical case scenarios and asks you to choose the most reasonable action, testing judgment rather than a fixed syllabus. Because there's no formula to memorize, the only way to get better is repeated exposure to real cases, which is exactly what daily practice is for.
Is the XAT Daily Target free? +
Yes, XAT Daily Targets on GRADSCALE are free to start, with no payment required to begin daily practice.

Every day you get 3 drills — one each for VARC, DILR, and QA — with a time limit. Complete all 3 to maintain your streak.
Attempt all 3 drills together as a single timed exam — VARC → DILR → QA with section locks, exactly like the real CAT pattern.
Each drill can be attempted once — individually or as part of a mock, not both. This keeps your analytics clean and honest.
Yes. Both MCQ and TITA (Type In The Answer) questions are supported. TITA questions have no negative marking and include an on-screen keyboard when enabled.
PYQs are actual previous year question papers. You can attempt them as full papers, section-wise, or topic-wise — with per-attempt analytics and bookmarks.
Smart Mix randomises questions across multiple years for a topic, so you're not just practising one year's pattern. It gives you a broader, more realistic workout.
Prep Tools are focused skill resources — RC 111 passage bank, GRE Vocab Forge, CAT QA Formula Bank, MBA GK Flashcards and more. Launching soon.
A streak counts consecutive days you've completed all 3 daily drills. Miss one day and it resets to zero. It's designed to build the habit of daily execution.
Section-wise accuracy, time per question, weak topic identification, weekly performance trends, PYQ attempt history, and your streak calendar.
Yes. The leaderboard shows daily and all-time streak rankings. You can see where you stand among all active aspirants on the platform.
