MDI Gurgaon Application Form 2027-29 Is Out: Dates, Fees, Eligibility and How to Apply

The MDI Gurgaon application form for the PGDM 2027-29 batch is now live. The window is open from 24 September to 28 November 2026, so you have a comfortable runway, but the form asks for more than most B-school forms do. Here is everything you need before you hit "Submit".

MDI Gurgaon Application 2027-29: Key Dates

Event Date
Application form opens 24 September 2026
Last date to apply 28 November 2026, 5:00 PM IST
GD / WAT / PI process February to April 2027

Do not wait for the last week. Application portals tend to get busy near deadlines, and you will want time to fix any mismatch in your documents.

Programmes You Can Apply For

A single common form covers all the programmes below, and you rank them in order of preference while filling it.

  1. PGDM
  2. PGDM – Human Resource Management (HRM)
  3. PGDM – International Business (IB)
  4. PGDM – Business Analytics
  5. PGDM – BFS (Banking and Financial Services)

Application Fee

Applying for Fee (incl. 18% GST)
MDI Gurgaon only ₹3,000
MDI Gurgaon + MDI Murshidabad ₹3,590
NRI / international applicants ₹8,496

The fee is paid online while filling the form, so confirm your programme preferences before paying.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic requirements (all programmes)

  • At least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in Class 10
  • At least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) in Class 12
  • A bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) from a recognised university
  • Final-year students can apply, provided they complete their degree by 30 June 2027

Degree duration

  • PGDM, HRM, Business Analytics and BFS: a minimum three-year bachelor's degree
  • PGDM-IB: a four-year bachelor's degree is required, so three-year graduates are not eligible

Work experience

  • PGDM-IB needs a minimum of one year of full-time work experience
  • For every other programme, work experience is optional, though it earns you extra points in the selection process

Which Exam Score Do You Need?

  • CAT 2026 is the entrance exam for MDI Gurgaon. This is the score that carries the most weight in the selection process.
  • GMAT is accepted only for applicants who apply exclusively to PGDM-IB.
  • Remember that registering for CAT and filling the MDI form are two separate processes. A CAT registration does not apply you to MDI.

How to Fill the MDI Gurgaon Application Form

  1. Open the official MDI admissions portal and register with your email ID and mobile number.
  2. Log in and fill in your personal details.
  3. Enter your Class 10, Class 12 and graduation details accurately.
  4. Add your CAT 2026 registration details (or GMAT details if you are applying only for PGDM-IB).
  5. Choose and rank the programmes you want, in order of preference.
  6. Add work experience details if applicable.
  7. Pay the application fee online.
  8. Review every section, submit the form and save a copy of the confirmation.

Keep these ready before you start: academic marksheets, your CAT registration details, work experience documents such as offer letters and salary slips, and a payment method.

How MDI Gurgaon Selects Candidates

Selection happens in two stages.

Stage I: Shortlisting. Your profile is scored on CAT/GMAT performance and academic and diversity factors. As reported by admission portals, the weightage looks like this:

Component Weightage
CAT / GMAT score 65%
Class 10 5%
Class 12 5%
Graduation 5%
Academic diversity 5%
Gender diversity 5%
Work experience 10%

Stage II: GD, WAT and PI. Shortlisted candidates go through a Group Discussion, a Written Analysis Test and a Personal Interview between February and April 2027.

Always cross-check the weightage in the official admission brochure, since institutes can revise it from year to year.

Tips to Strengthen Your Application

  • Do not treat 50% as the target. It is only the entry ticket. Your CAT percentile and academics decide who gets the call.
  • Rank programmes honestly. Pick the specialisation you can actually talk about in the interview, not just the one that sounds popular.
  • Start WAT and GD prep early. Many candidates shine in CAT but struggle in the written and group rounds.
  • Keep your story consistent. Your form, your résumé and your interview answers should tell the same story.
  • Apply to Murshidabad too if it interests you. The combined fee is only ₹590 more than applying to Gurgaon alone.
